Short answer
Do not ask only for a general "pipeline tape price." A useful RFQ should connect pipe diameter, tape width, thickness target, roll length, product family, quantity, packing, and destination.
Why width and thickness change the quotation
Anti-corrosion tape is sold as a roll product, but the buyer normally uses it around a pipe, joint, elbow, or repair section. The same product family can become a different commercial order when width, thickness, roll length, and packing route change.
If the project already specifies exact dimensions, send those first. If the buyer is still comparing options, send the pipe diameter, wrapping area, overlap method, and reference sample photo so the factory can suggest a practical review path.

When a reference sample helps
- The buyer needs to match an existing tape structure, liner, surface, edge, or roll appearance.
- The project document uses local names that do not clearly say PP, PE, or PVC.
- The buyer has a used roll label but does not know the exact thickness or adhesive structure.
- The order needs private label, carton marks, or distributor packing before quotation.
